MAHA LENA MONTANA

As the learner starts showing some progress in the application of the dispensed information, I feel joy for them. I remember clearly the first time Richard came to our class. I remember when he began to understand the Concept of the "Media-Vuelta". I remember when his composition started to look different.

It is definitely a pleasure to have Richard, as Student of the Month, of the Magdalena Technique ®.

Let's hear Richard in his own words :

" Such an honor to be co-selected as student of the the month! I come from vernacular jazz and swing dance background called Lindy Hop, which I love, but wanted to expand my Dance experience and abilities to enjoy the intricate, relaxed subtlies that tango offers. Please make no mistake, there is a steep leaning curve in tango, even for an experienced dancer. However, the pleasure is immensely rewarding. Learning the connection with your partner and the music and creating beautiful flow and movements together is literally like poetry in motion.

I have made a commitment to become the best tango dancer I can and go to classes or dance 2-3 weeks, plus practice my movements at home pretty much every day. I also have had the t pleasure of experiencing many different committed and elegant tango teaches during my first 8 months of tango. There is something to learn from everyone. However, Jean-Pierre’s Magdalena approach stands out above from all of my leaning experience in tango. Why? Because he teaches you to think of CREATING new possibilities from any given position and not route memorized pattens. That, plus the Element of “surprise" for the Follow so that they experience something on the dance floor they never had. Then then they smile. And then the Follows start looking for you to dance with. I hope I’ve made my point clear.

Once you have learned the connection, the Magdalena approach and some musicality, you will have a tremendous foundation to grow into an accomplished tango dancer and all the fun, joy, creative love, self awareness, friendships that tango can offer till you take your very last step.

I want to thank Jean-Pierre as well as his dedicated support systems called Irima and Oshalla for their commitment in delivering this most amazing dance…"

Positive and encouraging feedback are pooring in, from the wonderful Ladies at the milongas, to Richard. We know they will keep coming! These are the good signs that any Tango learner, longs for.

BRAVO Richard!!!

Keep it up! Much Joy, Fun and Love to you!!!

Jean-Pierre Sighe, Irina Goodkoff, Oshalla Diana Marcus.
