NOTE: Classes limited to 10 students per class
This class consists of floor exercises using Pilates’ principles. This method of physical conditioning is designed to isolate and work muscle groups without stressing the joints, thus focusing on core strengthening, flexibility, and posture. This class moves from beginning Pilates mat exercises to intermediate mat postures and some standing and balancing postures. The class is designed to enhance overall well-being, ease of movement, strength, and appropriate body and postural alignment. Bring a mat and towel. Prerequisite: Some Beginning Pilates Mat or Yoga Classes.
